About Me

Josh Wilson (he/him) is a current Master’s student at McGill University studying the relationship between interdisciplinary critical theory and archival practice. He has worked as a freelance writer, vegan cook, and learning assistant. Josh was born in Boston, raised in York Region, and attended universities in both Halifax and Montreal. He is an avid reader who is passionate about exploring the limits of language and the intersections of temporality, genre, and pedagogy.

MY BACKGROUND

Josh has been published in The Void magazine and dreams about writing poetry for a living. He currently resides in Montreal on the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehà:ka, a place which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst nations. He recognizes and respects the Kanien’kehà:ka as the traditional custodians of the lands and waters.

A LITTLE EXTRA

In his down time, Josh likes to read poetry, magazines, autofiction, and anything he can get his hands on. He has a secret love for reality TV, Björk, and fantasy novels and aspires to write like Maggie Nelson and live somewhere quiet and rainy.
